Our Story
Caring for People Services was founded in 2005 by John and Virginia Walker, driven by the enduring love for their son, Thomas, who left this world at the age of 26 after his journey with cancer. Inspired by his unwavering compassion and zest for life, the Walkers embarked on a mission to support individuals and families with professional and ethical care for people in the comfort and sanctity of their own homes.
In 2023, Katie Panton transitioned into the role of President and CEO after her father’s retirement. Since then, the company has continued to flourish to serve more families in their care needs. Her skillful leadership has deepened the organization’s reach across Nebraska and Western Iowa. Under her guidance, Caring for People Services carries on Thomas’s legacy with unwavering determination. Together, Katie and her team of experts transform the lives of countless people and foster dignity in every community they touch.
